If you’re in real estate and are familiar with cold calling and power dialers, you’ve probably heard of Landvoice and REDX (Real Estate Data X-change), two of the top names in this space.
Lead generation takes many different forms in real estate. And these two competing platforms offer systems designed to help agents and investors reach more hard-to-find leads. These include FSBO sellers, pre-foreclosures, and expired listing leads, in less time.
Their similarities end there, though – their features, pricing, and user reviews are in stark contrast. Interestingly enough, the Landvoice CEO was one of REDX’s original founders, but he later went a different direction and started his own competing company.
To this day, there’s been a bit of a rivalry between the two platforms. And many want an official answer to the question of which is better. Look no further, because we have determined a clear winner.
Features
Cold calling is a challenge, and many prospecting platforms seek to help real estate professionals source lead phone numbers and call them. Landvoice offers access to lead lists, but no dialer.
REDX combines lead lists with an automated power dialer that helps real estate professionals reach out to large numbers of leads without manually dialing hundreds of phone numbers.
Let’s look closer at the available features for each platform to see how they compare.
Landvoice Features
Dialer: Landvoice doesn’t offer an automated dialer, so if you use this platform, you’ll also need to sign up for a dialer (and pay for that separately). Because there is no integrated dialer in the Landvoice system, you will need to import the leads manually you get from Landvoice into the dialer you end up selecting.
Lead lists: You can purchase lead lists from Landvoice that include expired listings, old expired listings, FSBO listings, pre-foreclosures, and blanket neighborhood contact information.
Call Capture: Landvoice can assign you a toll-free phone number to use on yard signs, flyers, and business cards. When someone calls your number, they will hear a pre-recorded audio message, and you will receive a text message with their contact information.
REDX Features
Dialer: The Storm Dialer is part of REDX’s Vortex lead generation system. When you use the Storm Dialer, the system automatically dials numbers on your list. When someone answers, you’ll immediately be able to connect to that person.
If someone doesn’t answer the call, you can leave a pre-recorded voicemail for them with your name, number, and reason for reaching out. Any out-of-service phone numbers you receive are automatically scrubbed from your list, so you don’t waste time reaching out again.
Lead lists: REDX offers lead lists that compile expired leads, FSBO and FRBO sellers, pre-foreclosures, GeoLeads, and more. Because the REDX Storm Dialer is part of their Vortex system, all the leads that are in your dashboard are available to dial without the need to import lead information. Everything is ready at your fingertips.
Vortex Lead Manager: Vortex is a free prospecting platform and lead manager that is like your dashboard when you use REDX to generate and contact leads. When you purchase a list of leads from REDX, you automatically get free access to the Vortex lead manager.
Overall Features Winner: REDX
Without providing a dialer, Landvoice can’t compete with REDX in the features department. We like that REDX keeps everything integrated and in one place, so once you purchase your leads lists from them, they are automatically plugged into the Storm dialer and ready to be called.
Pricing
Let’s compare the pricing information for each of these two prospecting platforms. Landvoice uses a monthly, quarterly, or annual package that includes three or more products for a set price each month, but they also offer “a la carte” pricing. REDX prices all its products separately. Both are listed below.

REDX Pricing
REDX’s products are all priced separately, so you don’t pay for leads you won’t use. If you want to use the dialer, you can purchase it separately from the lead lists. This means you can use the REDX dialer in conjunction with REDX leads or leads from another source.
Expired Leads: $59.99/month
- Includes 1 MLS
GeoLeads: $49.99/month
- 2000 lookups per month
FSBO: $39.99/month
- Two areas included
FRBO: $79.99/month
Preforeclosures: $39.99/month
Storm Dialer: $99.99/month
- Add $50 if you want multiline functionality
Discounts are available if you sign up for quarterly (5% discount) or annual (15% discount) plans. The setup fee ($49.99) is waived for annual plans, and if you bundle more than one product together, they give you an automatic discount of $9.99!
Overall Pricing Winner: REDX
While the pricing is comparable for Landvoice and REDX (sometimes just a difference of pennies), we like that REDX allows you to build your package and offers a lot of ways for users to take advantage of discounts and waived setup fees.
Landvoice starts off fairly priced at the lower tiers, but to get access to the good lead lists and features (Expired Pro and Call Capture are examples), you have to choose the Elite package at $227/month.
The REDX Storm Dialer, at $99.99/month, offers excellent value for any agent or investor who cold calls leads.
User Reviews
How user-friendly are these prospecting platforms? Seeing positive reviews on a platform you plan to pay money for is a big deal for busy real estate professionals. You don’t want to spend a significant amount of time or money trying to figure out how a system works, only to discover it’s not right for you in the end.
We found reviews from Landvoice and REDX users to show how each platform stacks up in terms of customer satisfaction. Let’s see what real users have to say about these platforms.
Joseph Pugliese from Staten Island, New York
“We currently are using REDX. I personally like it as a realtor. It’s simple to you and has a clean PDF layout.”
Maxime Dore from Cambridge, Massachusetts
“I went with LandVoice and don’t recommend it. The ratio of no numbers found, Do Not Call numbers and listings you have numbers to and can actually call is not worth the money. You’ll be amazed how many listings/numbers you are not allowed to call because it is illegal. I wish I had never spent money on them.”
Jeremy Black from Washington, Utah
“I have tried all the expired lead sources (V7, LV, Arch) and compared them side-by-side for a year to see who REALLY had the best numbers. REDX Expireds won hands-down. REDX Vortex is the best system out there.”

Kirk Shelton from Houston, TX
“Recently I decided to sign up for Landvoice again and paid $340 for the Expired PRO and Neighborhood Farming Tool. This will last for 3 months. So far, I’ve gotten 2 appointments, but the majority of people I call either don’t own the property, sold it long before the expiration date, or have disconnected their number. I’ve also called Withdrawn properties, but most of those sellers still have listing agreements signed with the old agent.”
Mark Perrine from Noblesville, Indiana
“Landvoice is terrible. They charged me $1,499 when I attempted to call in and cancel. They charged my card on a Sunday and interestingly aren’t open on Saturday or Sunday.”
Edgar U. from Miramar, Florida
“Landvoice pros: No setup fee. Most numbers seem to be spot on. Landvoice cons: It’s super annoying to search through leads since their cloud based platform isn’t too friendly on searching. You can’t search based on zip codes so it only pulls all the leads and then you have to manually look for them. Their CRM is non-existent. So if I were to speak with a lead I don’t have a way to set up follow-up tasks.”
Overall User Reviews Winner: REDX
While the Pricing category was close, there’s no real contest here: REDX has tons of positive reviews online, and Landvoice has more than a few negative ones. Users cite REDX’s pricing, ease of use, effectiveness, and simple interface in their reviews.
Users mention Landvoice’s problems with incorrect phone numbers, clunky UI, and major payment issues in their reviews.

( vote)REDX comes out ahead of Landvoice because it offers more features (the Storm Dialer), fair pricing, and has excellent reviews from users. We really like the number of discounts available from REDX (when you bundle products or sign up for a quarterly or annual plan).
Although Landvoice is close to REDX in terms of pricing, they don’t offer discounts. Landvoice doesn’t have the same number of features as REDX, and the fact that they lack a power dialer is disappointing considering that they provide leads for real estate professionals.
The hassle of using Landvoice has a lot to do with the fact that you’d need to buy leads from them, then seek out an additional platform to use an automated dialer.
When you can use a prospecting platform like REDX and have everything (dialer, simple lead manager, ability to purchase leads) you need to manage and get in touch with your leads all in one place, it’s the clear winner.
