What Is Vyral Marketing?
Vyral Marketing helps real estate professionals get into video marketing. The company interviews you twice a month to create videos answering common real estate questions.
It emails these videos to your list of past clients and prospects. Then you can follow up with phone calls to anyone who watches one. This sort of regular lead nurturing can turn past clients and prospects into active clients.
And the personalized videos help establish agents as trusted experts in their industry. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, the company was co-founded in 2009 by CEO Frank Klesitz.
In addition to real estate, Vyral Marketing serves other small businesses. Other fields include mortgage companies, chiropractors, recruiters, and financial advisors.

The Marketing Process
Vyral’s main offering is its video marketing program. The video marketing plan is fairly simple. If you go this route, here’s what you can expect Vyral to do.
Build a Database
First, clients, build an email database. They do this by exporting all their contacts into a spreadsheet. Later, they’ll be coached to continually add to the list by requesting email addresses from anyone they meet.
Vyral says contacts can come from LinkedIn, online leads, email marketing programs, Outlook, Gmail or CRM programs. The company recommends using the TowerData.com service to find emails for contact records that don’t already have email addresses.
Make the Videos
Vyral Marketing then does initial interviews and sets up the client for video. This includes providing a webcam and setting up a video blog. Clients set a monthly appointment to be interviewed by Vyral Marketing.
The monthly sessions take half an hour. Sessions are professionally edited to produce two videos each two to three minutes long. The videos are presented as Q&As. Real estate professionals are asked and answer questions that their clients often ask.
Edit and Write Content
Vyral Marketing edits the videos to length and writes an article to go with each video. These are uploaded to a video blog as well as agents’ social media accounts.
Videos get emailed twice a month, on the first and 15th, to the contact list. The agent is notified when anyone watches one of the videos. Then the agent follows up with a phone call to the video viewers.
Wait for Results
Vyral says agents may see immediate results in the form of prospects and past clients becoming active clients. Or it may take several months. Various factors affect the success of a video marketing campaign, the company says.
These include how often agents make new videos, how they appear on video, and how many quality leads they have. Vyral Marketing also has a Calling Assistant service that will make the follow up calls.
It has a call center in Omaha, Nebraska, staffed with agents trained to make the phone calls. It also offers separately a Database Marketing Project. This six-monthly project helps clients implement a database marketing plan.
Such a plan includes building a list, using SEO, Facebook advertising, etc. As part of this, clients are assisted with hiring a part-time virtual assistant to help.
A recruiting marketing project to help brokers attract new agents is starting in January 2020. It will include an agent training video newsletter. In-person training workshops are used to book recruiting appointments.
Vyral Plans and Pricing
Vyral Marketing is a premium-priced service. Each video is unique and customized with the real estate professional’s own face and voice doing the Q&A. That doesn’t come cheaply.
The initial setup costs $1,995. This 30-day process includes doing initial interviews and creating a video blog and new subscriber forms.
As part of the startup, Vyral sends clients an HD webcam, microphone and light to use during video recordings. Clients use their own computers. Vyral says most computers will work fine.
The setup period also includes planning video topics for the next year and branding social media accounts. Also, clients’ email databases are exported and cleaned up.
Clients can get up to four onboarding calls to help them with the process. During the 30-day setup, Vyral offers a money-back guarantee.
After that, the video blog service costs $550 per month on an annual contract. Paying the first year’s $6,600 up front gives an agent an extra month without extra cost.

- The Calling Assistant service is another $175 per month. This includes 40 calls to high-priority contacts, plus follow-up emails.

Pros (What we like)
Vyral Marketing’s big plus is that it’s easy. It offers a one-stop video marketing entry for real estate professionals new to video marketing who want to get started. In only half an hour a month, agents and brokers can create professionally edited videos of themselves answering common client questions.
Vyral Marketing also sends out the videos and lets clients know when someone watches one. For busy agents, the Client Assistant product can help reduce some of the work associated with calling prospects.
Cons (What we don’t like)
The biggest limitation to Vyral Marketing is the price. At $6,600 per year, its fees will consume a sizable portion of many agents’ annual marketing budgets. The company recognizes it’s not cheap.
It recommends agents limit total marketing budgets to 10 percent to 15 percent of total sales. It suggests splitting the costs with co-marketers who will piggyback on the videos.
For all its cost, Vyral Marketing does not give clients exclusivity. Although the videos are unique to each client, other agents in your market may be using the service as well.
Finally, Vyral Marketing won’t set up marketing automation programs that use an agent’s new CRM. Agents export email addresses from a CRM and send them to Vyral Marketing. But the company keeps the email lists from clients in its own system.
Vyral Marketing is unique in the way it creates twice-monthly personalized Q&A videos and sends them to agents’ email lists. However, a number of other video companies also serve the real estate industry. Here are two of the most popular ones:

Fast Forward offers several pricing levels. The starter plan is $20 a month for 30 explainer videos and an equal number of web articles. The top premium plan is $75 monthly for 163 videos and articles and custom branding.
CreatorUP is a network of filmmakers and digital creative professionals based in Los Angeles. The company has helped real estate professionals with unique videos to promote luxury properties.
CreatorUP offers turnkey solutions from creative development and storyboarding to translations and titling. The company doesn’t provide pricing but promises competitive cost estimates within 24 hours of receiving a request.
Vyral Marketing is extremely expensive for the limited features offered. At one point, it may have been worth the price. But in today’s age, there are less expensive options.

In our opinion, Vyral Marketing is extremely expensive. We can’t figure out why pricing is to high, especially considering that $550 per month only buys you a few videos and some content, something an agent could produce on their own.
While it does cost money to hire professional editors, it’s nothing you can’t do yourself with a simple webcam and editing software. In fact, you could even do a video on your phone for free, though it won’t be as high-quality.
Perhaps this was a good value when an agent’s only resource for a video was to hire a professional, but we’re in the digital age, and there are better options. For example, BombBomb allows agents to create unlimited video emails for nearly 1/10th of Vyral’s cost.
Both my writer and I reached out to Vyral to see if there was something we were missing, but they did not respond to either of us. Because of the limited features and high pricing, we think you should skip Vyral.
